One thing you should realize is that every affiliate who is making any kind of money on the internet has their own marketing strategy they use. If you are going to be a successful affiliate, you need to have a plan, and stick to it.
So what does it mean to have an affiliate marketing strategy. What this means is that you need to have a strategy for getting your website out on the internet. How you do that is up to you. You need to have more than one way to do this. Do a search to find out what other people are using for their marketing strategies. Here are some things that you can add to your affiliate marketing startegy.
First, you want to have your own website. When you sign up as an affiliate you will be given a website that is like every other affiliate promoting that product or service. So what you need to do is to make your own website. This will give you a couple of advantages over other affiliates. You will have total control over what goes onto your website. So you can have more than one affiliate product or service at a time. You will also be able to add new affiliate products, anytime you want. You will be in control.
Another advantage is that you can set up your own newsletter on an autoresponder. This is a great way to capture the names and email addresses of prospective customers. Most people won’t buy anything until they have seen it at least three times. So you will be able to follow up with them if they don’t buy from you the first time. This is one great way to earn peoples trust, and they will be more than likely to buy from you. Make sure you give them information that will be helpful to them. No junk, as that will make them not trust you.
Second you want to write articles. People are always looking for free information. This way you can give them the information that they are looking for, and use a resource box with your website or affiliate product at the end of the article. If they like your article, they will more than likely click on the link in your resource box. This will also help you gain a reputation of knowing what you are talking about. People will trust you more. That helps with sales.
Third, you want to set up a Google Adwords campaign. This is a very competitive form of advertising. Basically what it means is that you bid on keywords against other people who are wanting those same keywords. If you do it right, this can be a very good way to advertise your business. Before starting with this affiliate marketing strategy, you want to make sure you understand how to do it, and how it works. Take the time to learn about this marketing strategy. It can make a real difference in your business.
You will want to use free advertising methods as well as the paid advertising methods. If you can’t afford to do the paid advertising, than start out with the free ways, and work your way up to the paid.
There is all kinds of things that you can add to your affiliate marketing strategy. I have given you just a few to get you started. Don’t use just one thing. Find a couple of things to use, and start marketing. You don’t want to have all your eggs in one basket. That way if one of the strategies doesn’t work for you, you will have others that will. Having a marketing strategy is the best way to be successful with any business, including affiliate marketing. You can be successful, as long as you come up with a plan, stick with it, and don’t let anyone tell you that that it won’t work. Make your own dreams come true.

2. Lack of will and desire
Many affiliates tend to give up on selling a product because they either can’t make any sales at all, or the amount of money earned is too small. The lack of will to work harder and the unwillingness to desire for better results will easily lead to their downfall.
One’s desire to succeed in anything will lead him to his goal – that’s certain. Unless it is something that is not humanly capable of or something harmful, anything that states a record of human success is achievable. If you want to be a super affiliate, desire deeper than anyone to succeed in being one.
You may not consider everything you just read to be crucial information about Affiliate Marketing. But don’t be surprised if you find yourself recalling and using this very information in the next few days.
3. Distracted by environment
Do you have any environmental distractions around when you are doing your work as an affiliate marketer? It can be anything – the TV, radio and cell phones are a few of the strongest distractions. If you want to relax – set your own time, let’s say 20 minutes maximum but after that force yourself to get back to work.
Another effective way for you to limit yourself from distraction is working out a time table and work according to your schedule. Anything you do, work depending on the time table so you won’t be lost.
4. Distracted by other products
Anyone who is involved in the Internet marketing will be affected by this distraction – they’ll keep buying different products, thinking that it is the “answer” to solve their needs which is very, very wrong.
If you ever see products that sound too miraculous – forget it. The practical way of working hard for success is your only way. Of course, working hard doesn’t mean that you should do everything. You can outsource the smaller jobs to people and keep yourself accomplishing the more important tasks.
5. Laziness
The killer disease for any tasks, any jobs. This of course, doesn’t need any explanation. The only cure is to have a strong will in working hard – that’s it.

These are a great free ways to get traffic to your affiliate link. They take a little more time and patience than writing a two line PPC ad, but are completely 100% free.
Some affiliate networks and Web sites require you to already have a Web site to join. If you’re just starting out and don’t have a Web site you can use to promote your affiliate link, start with signing up with places, such as, Clickbank. If you promote products for a company like Clickbank, not only do you not need a Web site to join, but you can market thousands of products they sell and only sign up once. This means you can have an affiliate link for any of the products they have, open an account with a PPC search engine (e.g. Google) and be in business in only a matter of minutes. Most people new to online marketing have no idea how quickly they can sign up as an affiliate, open a PPC advertising account, and immediately start getting traffic through their affiliate link.
If you pick a network like Clickbank they’ll provide you with details regarding which products sell better than others. This is where many people make the mistake of signing up for one of the top ten affiliate programs and try to go out and market it. There’s a reason why a product is the highest selling product at the time, it’s because everyone is already promoting it. When there is a massive amount of competition, it means that you’ll sell less product and make less money per sale.
